BAPS Library pictureThe Library

The BAP Library is a well-resourced and established specialist facility, providing support and services for members, BAP trainee psychotherapists and students on courses, including the MSc, and for members’ CPD activities. The Library contains a large stock of key texts and specialist books, and some audiovisual material, covering the areas of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Jungian Analytic Psychotherapy and Child Psychotherapy, and with some material on related areas.

Books and journals may be borrowed in person or by post, and a large number of journals are available online, including the British Journal of Psychotherapy.

Interlibrary loans, certain photocopy articles (subject to copyright) and literature searches are available. A small charge is made for these services. The Librarian and Library Assistant also answer general enquiries and provide telephone and postal services to members, and may be contacted by phone, fax or post or email at library@bap-psychotherapy.org. For further information on library resources and facilities please refer to the BAP Library Guide

There is an online library catalogue which may be viewed externally.

A number of publications by BAP members are available and this list may be viewed at the Library. Our Librarian is Shirley Hart, who will be only too pleased to help.

BAP Monographs on current issues written by members are available for sale at a cost of £5.00 each inc p&p from the Library.

Back issues of the Journal of the BAP are available for sale at a cost of £5.00 each inc p&p from the BAP Library.
